A manly Yellowstone trip

If you asked my dad what his favorite place in the whole world is, I betcha he would say Yellowstone. He was very excited to take all the 'boys' on a Yellowstone canoeing trip adventure!

Tony, Jaxson, Jason, Jeremy, Brogan, and Dad started out by canoeing across Lewis Lake and up Lewis River to Shoshone Lake.

They had a lot of stuff to take with them!

Their first campsite was on the shores of Shoshone Lake.

 Where they also skipped rocks...

Their second night they camped in a hail and wind storm and cooked the fish they caught that day at Shoshone Lake.

They canoed across Shoshone Lake with whitecap swells and fear for their lives to go to Geyser Basin.  After docking they hiked in about 3-4 miles.

They used a tarp as a sail to get back to their campsite - they said it worked like a charm!

These two crazy boys were able to tag along - Tyson couldn't go due to football practice starting.  Everyone said that Jaxson and Brogan pulled their weight though and were a lot of help.

Apparently they had to rely on their tarps several times and it made quite an impression on them - for Christmas that year Tony, Jeremy and Dad all got tarps.
