The scouts invited some of the 11-year old scouts to join them backpacking in the Sawtooths.
The group - Starting at the Hell Roaring Trail head.
They had to carry in everything and some of them had some very heavy packs!
They hiked in 4 miles in and 4 miles out.
They needed several breaks.
And stopped for lunch - the weather was perfect.
And then the rain started - and it didn't stop. Jaxson said it was miserable being so soaking wet.
Setting up camp was challenging because everything was so wet and they couldn't make a fire to warm up. They used their jet boils to make some dehydrated dinners.
The next morning Jaxson said they awoke to the most beautiful view and it made all the misery worth it.
