Happy 100 days of school! Carson was super excited to celebrate the date with his first grade class! They wrote what they wish they had 100 of (puppies) and what they would NEVER want 100 of (sharks). They wrote and counted to 100 by 1's, 2's, and 10's. They went outside and walked 100 steps to see where they would end. They made great 100 day hats (that for some funny reason made them look like fish if they turned them sideways) HILARIOUS! They sorted their 100 items they brought and had a mini museum where they walked around to see all the collections of 100. They shared a 100 day snack. They read a story about a man who was 100 years old and had never learned to read. Then they talked about if this could be true and how glad they are to learn to read now. They had a fabulous time celebrating 100 days of learning - and Mrs. McKinley is truly an amazing teacher!!
