Randomness

I've decided that the reason I have such a hard time staying up to date on this blog is all because of Instagram.  I just post a pic and feel like my family history documentation has been completed.  But I need the blog for the book and there is usually a lot more to our lives than 3 lines can hold, so I am stuck doing lots of blogging catch up!  We have had some big changes lately too!  Last month we discovered that the house that we had been renting was going to go up for sale this spring.  Yipes!  I was a wreck!  Where would we live?  We considered a few different options.  We thought about just buying the house that we had been renting, or buying another house, or renting another house.  Our biggest concern though was our kids.  I did not want to have to make them start all over again in a new school and new ward.  We really want to build and there are several new neighborhood in development close by but they would not be ready in time for us to move.  Coincidentally, we had our friends the Petersons over for dinner right after we found out about having to move.  It was ironic since they had just moved to Utah the month before and have a house they are renting in our current neighborhood.  Unfortunately it was already rented with a deposit down and everything.  Then a couple of days later they called to say the renters had backed out due to employment issues and would we like to rent their house?  YES!!  It is a great house with a lot more room and a big backyard.  It will be perfect for a year or so while we build our own house and the only thing that changed was which road we turn on to go home.  Moving, however, was not such blessed event and we are sooooooo happy to now be (mostly) settled.  Maybe we'll wait to build in a couple of years--when I forget how awful moving is!  This pic of Carson pretty much sums up how we all felt for a couple of weeks.

Jaxson performed in his 6th grade choir concert and did great.  He decided to choir instead of band because he is already taking piano lessons and didn't need another instrument to practice each day!

The weather has been so beautiful and spring-ish lately!  Now that we all have our own set of golf clubs, it is fun to hit the driving range.  Boy do we need to practice.  I can't wait for golf season though!
