Jaxson got to officially go to a real scout camp this year. Because he is only 11, Tony had to accompany him as well. Luckily there were 9 other 11-year-old boys whose dads also got to go, and luckily they were all fun dads to hang out with!
Jaxson signed up for the rifle merit badge which is not usually recommended for first year scouts; in fact he was the only 11-year old who signed up for it (this pic is of them practicing at the range). They let him give it a try but said not to be discouraged and that he would probably have to try again next year. He had to shoot 8 cards within a quarter size in order to qualify; he did that and even shot one within a dime size!
Jaxson is lucky to have great friends in this ward. Tony said he loved how all of the boys just hang out together and never leave anyone out.

The food was not the greatest, so a few of the dads took their sons for a breakfast at the Pancake House one of the mornings. I'm sure it was a welcome treat!
Jaxson and Brother Sallee. It is awesome to have so many fun dads around!

Tug of War!
After a week of camping, they were very ready to come home but they definitely had a lot of fun! The dads went golfing quite a few times and had a great time together too! While Tony and Jaxson were at scout camp, our house actually stayed a lot cleaner and we needed a lot less groceries, but we will still keep them… We were soooo glad to have them back home!
