Back to school again

I remember loving each fall when it was time to go back to school.  The new clothes, new school supplies, new classroom and fun things to look forward too….  Not so much anymore. :(

Now the new school year just reminds me that my kids keep growing up and I really wish they would slow down a little!  This year was especially sad because Jaxson entered middle school at Lake Hazel Middle School and Carson started Kindergarten.  Ugh.  It is the first time I have been alone at home for  any stretch of time and it was not easy at first!  In fact, after the first day all the moms get together for a back to school brunch and I didn't leave until it was time to pick up Carson!  I have to admit though, I am getting used to it and Kindergarten's three hours fly by quite quickly.

Carson lining up outside of his Kindergarten classroom.  After he got home from school he said, "Now that I go to school all day I don't get to spend as much time with you."  I told him we would still have lunch together and all after noon together.   Then he said, "Ya, but it is like it isn't even me anymore!"  

I hope not Carson!!  I don't want him to change for a long, long time.
