Before I can post the back-to-school pictures and resign myself to the fact that school has indeed started, I had to look back at our gone-way-too-fast summer break.

We played a lot this summer. When we visited NW Trek, Carson's favorite animal was the otter.
Cub scout camp. Ironically, in this picture Jaxson is showing his nice healthy left arm just a few days before he broke both forearm bones at cub scout camp. The short explanation is that he was playing kickball on wet grass and he "should've stopped at second"... Unfortunately that meant he spent the rest of his baseball games as a bat boy (although he cheered his team on just the same!) and we had to ask for a refund for his baseball camp. He got showered with gifts and cards from his fellow cub scout buddies though, and the cast didn't slow him down too much...
Gosh I miss my family! I'll hang out with them anytime, and if it happens to be on a beach, even better.
Kaisa took 3 rounds of swimming lessons. Unfortunately NOT because she loves swimming. She got a little nervous this year and they actually moved her down a level. So when she finally regained her confidence, we wanted to just keep her going. She turned out to be a strong little swimmer and I was so proud of how she overcame her fears. It helped that she got to take the lessons with some great friends.
