Jaxson and Kaisa were very excited to begin 4th and 2nd grades this year. They met their teachers at the open house and both were really happy. I was a little paranoid about being late on the first day of school this year (because we were late on the first day of school last year), so we ended up being some of the very first people to show up (notice the picture in front of the school with no other kids in it). Jaxson and Kaisa even got to hold their room's sign to show where to line up since they were the first kids in their class at the school. I enjoyed the day much more and smiled as I pulled out of my parking spot so a frantic, stressed-out mom could find a place to park. I knew how she felt! Hopefully this is a good omen that this year we will be more organized and prepared..... at least for a month or two.
