I suppose it is time to begin the joys of scouting! Jaxson LOVES scouts and is really excited to go to their activities each week. I am not quite as enthusiastic but I am trying. All these patches and belt loops and arrow points just make my head spin. Luckily Jaxson has two great scout leaders who also happen to be really great friends, so hopefully they will be patient with me. I promise to have Jaxson's patches sewn on at least before summer starts!
Jaxson's first pack meeting was the Pinewood Derby. It was lots of fun and only mildy crazy. Jaxson (and Tony of course) designed his car which didn't win but made a good showing! Luckily (or unluckily for the scout leaders) there are probably over 40 boys there so most did not win. Jaxson's prize was best "superhero" vehicle.

Sam loved Jaxson's superhero car. I am afraid that we are going to have to see Bekah about all the badges and belt loops, because I am still learning. Hopefully I will know what is going on when my boys get to scouts. If not, I am in trouble.
I LOVE SCOUTS!!! Not :). Retro wording right there. FYI= you can buy some super slick sticky stuff at any craft store that works just as well (almost) as sewing! That's what I resorted to when my machine stopped being nice to me! Great job Jaxson!!
