For Carson's 5th birthday party, we decided to host a "Secret Agent" Training Party. We started by making these secret file invitations which Carson delivered in disguise (complete with walkie-talkie). When Carson got back in the van after delivering Crue's invite, he said, "Maybe I should tell them it is Carson Campbell, cuz Crue just starred at me funny." It was pretty hilarious.
We started the party with fingerprinting and code-names and then the agents went undercover in their disguises. (They look a little like used car salesmen to me, no?) While they were at target practice with their Nerf guns, all of Carson's birthday presents were stolen and a clue was left in their place. The agents then had to detonate bombs (pop black balloons), maneuver through lazers (red yarn), and perform crazy spy tricks on the tramp in order to discover that the bad guy was a double-agent, aka big brother Jaxson.
After much yelling and chasing the presents were recovered. We then opened the presents, ate cake with ice cream, and sent the tired secret agents home. I think the training was a success! :)
