Happy Halloween!

It seems like we have been celebrating Halloween for a month now with all the school parties, kid parties, our party, church party…. whew!  It was a super fun one though!  Carson decided first that he wanted to be something scary this year and chose a vampire.  The rest of the family decided to jump on board (which is kinda funny for someone who has never seen or read a single Twilight)!  We had the ward party on Saturday with a Trunk or Treat and then went trick or treating around the neighborhood on Halloween night.  We have a very generous neighborhood; the kids came home with lots of full size candy bars (including one from their dentist…hmmm….)  Jaxson went out WITHOUT PARENTS with 7 of his friends.  All of us tried to keep an eye on them from a distance but they did great and had a blast.

As Halloween got closer this year, we realized how much we would miss getting together with our friends in Washington at the Bishop's annual party… So we did something quite unlike us and hosted one ourselves.  It was a fun night with a great group of friends--I laughed A LOT.  We played some fun games and ate way too much yummy treats.

Our contribution to the treats was a vampire blood (red dyed white chocolate) fountain.  I was really nervous that it wouldn't turn out but it was awesome!  The kids helped me come up with names for the dippers, like strawberries as goblin hearts and pineapple as "Frank's toenails".  Ewww.

Awesome! I'm totally going to have to steal your blood fountain idea. We missed you this year at our party. Your names were brought up often!
