Field Trip

I joined Jaxson on his class field trip to the World Center for the Birds of Prey.  I've seen the signs for this before but we have never visited.  I was totally impressed by all the exhibits and the cool bird shows.  Jaxson was so much fun to hang out with….I told him to feel free to go be with his friends but he stayed with me the whole time and made sure I got the full experience.  In one of the rooms, they let you "become a bird" by putting on feathers and funky glasses that show you what it is like to see like a bird.  It was pretty hilarious!  We learned so much about birds; I guess I had forgotten what fascinating creatures they are!  On the way home, we stopped by a senior citizen center where their class has adopted "grandparents" and hung art on their doors.  We also got to sing "Happy Birthday" to a very happy little lady.  On the bus ride back to the school, Jaxson said how it felt good to make them so happy.  What a great experience!  I am sure some day my cute kid will not think it is cool to hang out with his mom, so I am enjoying every second of it now...
