For Jaxson's 13th birthday, he decided to take some friends "bouldering" at a nearby climbing club. It turned out to be a lot of fun for everyone!
The favors were a water bottle with Pop Rocks, a Clif Bar, some chocolate candy rocks, and a carbiner.
The gym was a little different than I had expected - it was all free climbing (no harnesses) and the walls had all these different holds and color coded 'trails' to follow.
Some of the boys were naturals and easily made it to the top and everywhere else; others struggled a little. But everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.
Jaxson invited Jackson, Matt, Carter, Tanner, Brennan, and Tanner.
One of the best climbers of all was surprisingly Carson! He was a little monkey and was able to climb even the hardest walls quite easily. He also did this crazy step ladder wall that nobody else could do.
He loved it!!
Another two that were surprisingly great little climbers was Kaisa and Kiali. They were pretty fun to watch too!
I think our family might need to spend more time bouldering in the future!
